Wilma Gay Deel

Damascus, VA – Wilma Gay Breeding Deel, age 84, passed on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at her home.  Wilma was born and raised in Davenport, VA to the late Woodrow and Stella Rose Breeding.  She was a graduate of Council High School and moved to Damascus in 1969. Wilma was of the Primitive Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Breeding.  She leaves behind her husband of 66 years, Willard Deel; daughters, Brenda Deel and Barbara Klahn and husband Jim; nine siblings, William Breeding, Lois Rose, Sally Nadene Walker, Fred Breeding, Luella Bartee, Raymond Breeding, Darlene Miller, Mick Breeding, and Rick Breeding; two grandchildren, Jared Whitaker and Stephen Klahn; great grandchildren, Avery, Joana, and River Klahn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held 1-2 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023, in the Main Street location of Farris Funeral Service.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Josh Viers and Elder Garnell Gilbert officiating.  Interment will be held in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
