Wilma Jean Owens Moody

Abingdon, VA – Wilma Jean Owens Moody, age 77, passed on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Moody was an employee of Grace Health Care for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bonnie Kathleen Arnold Owens; husband, Allen Lee Moody; son, Brady Moody; granddaughter, Brittany Elizabeth Moody; siblings, Wallace Owens, Bertie Michaels, Luci Woodlief, and infant twin brothers.

She is survived by two children, Diana (Bobby) Ball, and John Moody; siblings, Elizabeth “Irene” Leonard, Jackie (Gail) Owens, Charlie Owens, Alice (Michael) Townsend, Freddie Owens, Frankie (Brenda) Owens; grandchildren, Maria Capparelli, Angelo Moody, Zachary Ball, Kayla Hennessey, Austin Moody, Adryanna Boyd, Samantha Moody, Jacob Moody, Stephanie Moody, Hannah Moody; great grandchildren, Vincent Capparelli, Harrison Capparelli, Rhyker Walls, Raidyn Walls, Liam Ball, Logynn Moody, Lily Hennessey; special niece, Lindsey Kestner; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held 5-7 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Junior Gobble officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Austin Moody, Angelo Moody, Jacob Moody, Zachary Ball, Brittany Boyd, and Jacob Stringer serving as pallbearers.
